On Tuesday evening (November 21) at the awards presentation at the Victorian Artists Society several MSWPS received awards. This year almost a third of the finalists were also MSWPS.
Congratulations to Noel Waite AO, a Past President of Vic Artists as well as a MSWPS member, for being awarded the highest accolade of the society – Honorary Life Membership. Noel is a worthy recipient of this great honour.
Congratulations also to Raelene Sharp, Judith Leman Betina Fauvel-Ogden and Annee Kelly who have been made Fellows of the Victorian Artists Society (FVAS).
Judith Leman was awarded the Mavis Little Sculpture Award Trophy for 2017 Well done Judith! Judith has exhibitted a series of bronze sculptures as tributes to the horses in WW1 throughout the year.
The Exhibitors’ Choice Award, sponsored by Noel Waite AO was awarded to Raelene Sharp for her outstanding portraits. These gained the most votes from the finalists.
