A lovely day was had by about 30 members and Guests who took the opportunity to travel to Louise Foletta’s Buxton Property and onto Marian Rennie’s property at Acheron on Thursday 25th October.
The Buxton property sited on the Acheron River has been in Louise’s family since her grandfather purchased land there in 1939.
Guests enjoyed a delicious morning tea, wander around the property to view the river, sit in the warm sunshine and pat some free roaming chickens. A few photos show some little corners of Louise Foletta’s studio.
At Marian Rennie’s many members and guests were served a three course meal with a glass of sparkling wine whilst others enjoyed their picnics in the surrounding gardens.
We were treated to a preview of ‘Within the Land’, a Sculpture exhibition expressing a love of our land, Open October 26th – November 30th. A few photos show some of the artworks and Louise Foletta’s artwork ‘Phoenix’.
