In response to Melbourne’s Stage 4 lockdown, contemporary sculptor Beatrice Magalotti made 42 ceramic boats – one for each day of the lockdown, their stitched seams representing fragility and mending and patching lives.
The boats were then photographed by Beatrice and Australian and overseas collaborators.

“I have compiled a number of the images into the “42days 42boats 42installations” book and have physically exhibited the ceramic boats, book and photographs together in an Exhibition that now also travels. For the month of August it can be seen at The Hive Gallery in Ocean Grove.
