A moment in time, Kos, Greece

With this watercolour painting I have tried to capture the bridging of time between past and present on the greek island of Kos.
The ancient temples of the old city are still present for all to explore and visit. With springtime in both eras, there is still an abundance of wildflowers and whilst there, I feel an overwhelming connection to my greek heritage. I was able to identify with the figures, sitting amongst the ruins, nostalgic and contemplating how our life is intertwined with the events of history before us.
