Ancient and Fragile Land: Artifacts
The Outback Landscape here is in South West Queensland where the land is used for raising cattle, the curves in the mid distance are where tractors have been used to clear trees not indigenous to this area that have been introduced by the cattle droppings from other areas. The stone tools were recorded when I stayed on a property called Bengalla, a large sheep station in the cotton growing region. I am still astonished to think we were told this land was empty when the British arrived and claimed the land, this evidence of occupation is found absolutely everywhere in Australia.
