Beechworth Wilderness

This painting was inspired by my recent visit to Beechworth. The sheer magnitude of the cliffs when I stood there, instilled in me a feeling of awe and reverence. The dramatic composition, enhanced by the meandering gentle stream, together with the different textures, colours and tonal variation, all beckoned to be captured. I endeavoured to portray the beauty and fragility of our environment which should be treasured and preserved for future generations.
