Morning

This painting celebrates the dawn of a brilliant summer morning with the moon fading into the clouds as the sun is rising. The sky sustains me – I only have to look upwards to experience optimism and inspiration. I love this time of the morning when the night is fading with the emerging daylight. This was a very emotional painting to work on and has many layers to emphasize the experience. Each day brings a new beginning and since we live in challenging times, it can fill us with hope and optimism. The sky has always been my spiritual as well as my artistic motivation and I feel very fortunate to be working as an artist, constantly inspired by what I see around me.
