Commissioned by Jason Rutgers and Greg Young, “We see ourselves in the personalities of our spirit animals. Is personal and everyone that comes through that sees it, gets it. Hope it translates well for others”

Judge Comment: This skillfully painted work leaps off the wall with its sheer joy of ‘going to the movies’ and that wonderful experience of sitting in the dark at one with the characters on the screen. On a more serious note, the work reminds us of better times between China and Australia. It’s good to see that happy panda.
