Only in the Darkness Can You See the Stars

This painting: ‘Only in the Darkness Can You See the Stars’ was part of a large my 22nd solo exhibition in 2022, ‘Threads of Light.’ at Montsalvat.
Much of my work in this exhibition was created during the bushfires and COVID lockdowns; a time when I personally, perhaps like many of us, needed to see light in the darkness. Light, a glowing source just out of reach, is I feel lifeline sustaining and connecting us on many levels. A starlit sky at night enhanced by the darkness can indicate other worlds beyond what we can see. Looking up into this infinity for me often puts life in perspective my own life just a small part of this great story. I have strived to capture this essence.
