Still Life with Ceramics – Assembly Point

This is one of my rare excursions into Still Life paintings. However, at the back of my mind is the idea of doing a series of works on objects that surround me and form part of my everyday life.
These are pieces I have collected at various times, and which I wanted to portray in a certain light. While grouped together, I also wanted to create a sense of isolation – like people gathering somewhere but not quite knowing how to make contact.
