This painting features the moon on a summer night as it rose at twilight. The light was soft and beautiful, with the afterglow of a brilliant sunset, and the haze around the moon indicated a storm might follow later. This painting was recently selected to be part of an exhibition concert, live-steamed in New York. I was honoured to be invited by Margin Alexander, the New York pianist and composer, to have my painting and profile projected during his performance inspired by this particular work. The sky has always been my spiritual as well as my artistic motivation and I feel very fortunate to have my work appreciated in this way.
