Valuables of Bygone Days – Daylesford

This oil was inspired by the bric a brac shop in Daylesford. The sunlight shining through coloured glass and off other objects attracted me.
I invented the still life in the right hand corner, as this shop is very cluttered and this composition was more satisfying. The two women seem to be
a permanent fixture when I visit this shop and I believe the man is the white haired woman’s husband.
