View from home – midday, mid summer

This 300 year old Yellow Box Eucalypt dominates our view, majestic in its presence. It houses many birds and shades cows in the heat of summer and survived the 2009 bushfires in Yarra Glen, so is significant to us. I’ve tried to capture the heat of summer, at midday, when everything shimmers at that time, and colours are rather flat. The challenge is to make it sufficiently interesting.
