Yellow Dress, Collins St. Melbourne
I have grown up in Melbourne, and I’ve been watching it’s ever changing city skyline, with new crane topped buildings seeming to outdo the next. I love the way it’s growing, always interesting and quite beautiful.
However, when it somes to my paintings, I seem to be drawn to the more characterful side of the city, especially Collins Street, where we still have many surviving examples of architecture from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
I like to observe people going about their daily business and I love the effect of light, giving warm and cool colours their life.
