Anna Mandoki

Artist Statement 

Anna Mandoki is a UK-born artist and writer. She has previously lived in London and Budapest, and now lives and works on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country in Naarm/Melbourne. Anna completed a Painting Techniques course at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2018. The following year, she began painting professionally under the name Dorian.

A constant theme in Anna’s art practice is the experience of migration and ideas of home. Her multi-layered paintings incorporate textures of soil, photographs, sand and paint to create emotionally expressive works evoking echoes of place, memory and time.
