My Bio

Studied Graphic Design 1974-1976
Dip Graphic Design Auckland New Zealand
My art career began when I moved to Melbourne in 1977.
I worked as a textile Designer for Australian Textile Printers in Brunswick. Prints for fabric.
1982. Moved to Brisbane where I had a little business producing designs and printing on T shirts and selling them in two Boutiques.
1985. Moved back to Melbourne.
Worked in various businesses such as Dulux as an Architectural Consultant.
1995 Studied Illustration part time at Melbourne School of Art in Elsternwick. Studied all mediums including Pen and Ink Watercolour Pastel Pencil and Gouache.
Had various contracts to illustrate Calendars and business letterheads.
2005. Joined the Beaumaris Art Group. Studied Watercolour under the tutorial of Valda Cuming.
2009 Joined En-Plein Air Group. The Bayside En-Plein Air Group formed in 1973 by the Beaumaris Art Group. The Convenor was Valda Cuming.
2011. Winner of Beaumaris Art Group Annual Exhibition .Drawing.
2012 Joined MSWPS.
2016. Winner of Beaumaris Art Group Annual Exhibition Drawing
2018 Beaumaris Art Group Annual Exhibition Highly Commended Drawing
2019 Beaumaris Art Group Annual Exhibition Highly Commended for Drawing

Exhibited at Camberwell Art Show, Bayside Art Show, Mornington Art Show, Bayside City Council Chambers Art Show.
My progression to En-Plein Air Painting has been a great achievement for me and in the last 3 years as mastering the elements is no easy task. I am now the convenor of the Bayside Enplein Air painters that number 15 of us. It is a unique group of artist with the same passion of painting outdoors as myself.
