VALDA CUMING OAM(1995) CONGRATULATIONS on receiving an Order of Australia MEDAL for Services to the Visual Arts in the 2019 HONOURS LIST Queens Birthday Celebrations.
Valda has been a generous committee member for many years retiring from the committee in 2016. Valda and Cecilie Osborne were ‘Out Spoken’, requesting that our Aboriginal artist sisters be members of our society. This has paved the way for a broader inclusive membership by painters and sculptors of diverse styles.
