A Note from Angela Abbott

In our newsletter was such a lot to prove that creative processes (and a time to impart some law and order to home storage items. etc…) carry on strongly through these weird Covid 19 times!

The exhibition I mentioned in the feature on my “socially-distanced self portrait”, duly opened for four days at limited hours and in a “socially-distanced” form: three persons only permitted in the gallery space.

Then, with further restrictions announced, it was closed to the public, along with the rest of Montsalvat.
So, depending on possible future easing of these, circa mid-later August, we are hoping that Montsalvat and our show may open again, as the end date has been extended until November.

I’m sending an invitation to the Twenty Melbourne Painters online-only 102nd Annual Exhibition.
I’m telling everyone it saves “gallery-fatigue” – as I call it – and at 10am on Thurs 13th Aug, potential visitors can simply sink into a comfy chair with a wine glass (too early for wine?).

Anyway, Keep warm and well, Appreciatively, Warmly,

Angela
