Vale Joan Richard
1928 – 2022 (94 years)
Joan was a much-loved member of MSWPS, joining in 1989. She was a long-time committee member and 3 times president. When a sale of Ola Cohn was proposed a number of years ago, she was instrumental in saving our home.
Joan was an extremely talented artist working mainly in Watercolour. Teaching art was another talent she possessed. I had the honour to be her student for 30 years at Saturday morning watercolour class at Malvern Artists Society.
Over these years we formed a great friendship, travelled on painting trips together and her introducing me to MSWPS. Last year’s exhibition and the Christmas party were notably marked by her absence.
Joan will be sadly missed by all.
