Susan O’Brien (1947-2025)
My sister Susan was a multi talented artist. She had a fellowship in pottery and later became a well known painter.
A member of MSWPS, a tutor at the Malvern Artists Society for many years and also at the Box Hill Artists Society. She was also a judge many times.
Susan took painting groups away to Vietnam,Cambodia,Malta and country Australia where all the participants had fun painting and exploring the landscape.
She was represented by Eagles nest gallery in Aireys Inlet and had won many awards over the years .
Susan’s latest award was Best acrylic in show at the Mornington Rotary Art Show awarded while she was in hospital.
She will be greatly missed by all the family, friends and students.
