A Right Royal Occasion

by Angela Abbott (inspired by our 2019 Winter Luncheon)

Women, ladies, (merely girls!),Knotted, chockered, stranded pearls.

Reindeer antlers, set the scene. Courtly. Fit for King or Queen.

Candelabra, quite surreal, Slanting candles, fungi (real).

Wondrous greeny yellow quinces, fit for Kings and Queens and Princes.

A Laird thereto, be-feathered hat and attitude – to go with that –

stood firm beside some folk who dwell in Sandringham, or Camberwell,

assembled in their best attire, by Hartnell, Liberty or Myer!

“To Baby Archie” (bubbly  toast), from many subjects, coast to coast.

Furs faux or real, glist’ning  aglow. Paraded, stroked. One Stole the show!

Tiaras, jewels and priceless stones. Virtual headpiece, pinkish tones.

A “Cossack-hatted” Russian Guard. Diamond cluster. Life’s not hard!

Margaret Rose with rosy scarf. Incognito. SHE can laugh!

Hats with accents, fancy, plain. Pillbox  jaunty. Trims ( grosgrain?)

Pom-poms, with some Panama. Fashion accents from afar!

Ladies on a winning wicket. A Real Lady drew THE ticket!

She, seated on a patterned throne.

Right Royal Day at Ola Cohn!
