Living in a Covid Haze

During COVID-19 Lockdown in Melbourne I have been working each day on my painting and in my garden. The extra time I have spent in my garden has had a direct effect on my work. My work has become more painterly and I have employed a softer colour range. My themes concern the lockdown and the frustrations and joys of the enforced quietude and lack of socialisation. Playing with the Governments constant talk of “Road Maps” out, the figure in my painting (perhaps myself) embodies road maps like a maze going in many directions and none.
